Are you ready to make a direct impact on the lives of refugees and marginalized populations? UNFPA Jordan is looking for a Humanitarian Associate to help implement crucial sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and gender-based violence (GBV) programs for Syrian refugees in Jordan. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in the field of humanitarian aid and global development while supporting SDG 3 β Good Health and Well-being.
π About the Role: As a Humanitarian Associate, youβll be involved in planning, monitoring, and evaluating the delivery of SRH and GBV services. Youβll provide critical support to UNFPAβs humanitarian initiatives, ensuring that Syrian refugees in Jordan receive the services they need to thrive and recover.
This role offers the chance to:
- Work directly with refugee populations to improve access to sexual and reproductive health services.
- Provide technical support to partners and NGOs to ensure the quality and effectiveness of interventions in both camps and host communities.
- Help coordinate efforts to prevent gender-based violence and support survivors.
- Contribute to key advocacy materials and reports that inform global humanitarian strategies.
π What Youβll Do:
- Support SRH and GBV programming: Monitor the implementation of SRH and GBV activities, assess needs, and contribute to the Jordan Humanitarian Response Plan.
- Engage with communities: Gather feedback from the local population to improve services and ensure inclusivity.
- Communication: Help document and share success stories, assist in creating BCC materials for Syrian refugees, and contribute to advocacy efforts around women’s rights and gender equality.
- Coordinate: Support UNFPAβs efforts in humanitarian coordination meetings and technical working groups related to SRH and GBV.

- A French national (specific eligibility criteria apply).

- Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Between 21-27 years old and ready to embark on a UN Youth Volunteer assignment.
