Internship Overview
Position Title: African Union Intern
Location: AU Headquarters and Departments (Addis Ababa or assigned AU locations)
Agency: African Union Commission
Job Schedule: Full Time (Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00)
Duration: Minimum of 3 months, extendable to 6 months

Purpose of the Internship
The internship program aims to:
- Expose young professionals to AU operations early in their careers.
- Enhance personal and professional skills in an intercultural environment.
- Provide interns the opportunity to support AU departments with relevant knowledge and skills.

Key Responsibilities

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be a national of an AU Member State.
- Be aged between 22 and 32 at the time of application.
- Be enrolled in full-time undergraduate (final year), postgraduate, or be a recent graduate from a recognized institution.
- Be fluent in at least one AU official language: Arabic, English, French, Portuguese, or Kiswahili.
- Meet the eligibility outlined in the AU’s terms of reference.
