TikTok Youth Council 2025/26 — Call for Applications (Deadline: 26 September 2025)
Context and Background of the Programme
TikTok is inviting applications for the TikTok Youth Council 2025/26, an initiative designed to give young people a seat at the table in shaping the future of the platform. The Council brings together teenagers from around the globe to share perspectives, discuss online challenges, and help TikTok’s policy and product teams better support youth online.
Council members will meet virtually between December 2025 and October 2026, with additional collaboration, discussions, and reading in preparation for meetings. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to decisions that affect how millions of young people use TikTok.
The programme is run in partnership with Praesidio Safeguarding, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where all members feel valued.

Eligibility Requirements
- Age: Applicants must be 14–19 years old
- At least 14 by the start of the Council (December 2025)
- No older than 19 by the end of September 2026
- Language: Good understanding of English and ability to participate in discussions in English
- Commitment: Attend all scheduled virtual meetings (Dec 2025 – Oct 2026), complete preparatory reading, and participate in ongoing collaboration
- Skills and Attitude:
- Passionate about youth advocacy and online safety
- Willingness to learn, share ideas, and dig deep into issues affecting teens online
- Respectful and open to diverse viewpoints
- Permission: Parent or carer consent required
