π Role Overview
Support the Political Section of the British Embassy in Lima, contributing to:
- Political analysis of Peruvian domestic politics

π οΈ Roles & Responsibilities
Political Engagement & Analysis (55%)
- Support ambassadorial and political engagement objectives
- Arrange high-level meetings and prepare briefings
- Draft political updates and monitor elections, domestic politics, and human rights
- Maintain stakeholder networks with government, donors, multilaterals, civil society
Team Support (35%)
- Assist Human Rights and Inclusion lead (UK term in MESAGEN)
- Support Chevening and Political Officer
- Contribute to project monitoring and reporting
- Translation, research, drafting Note Verbales, and event support
Learning & Development (10%)
- Participate in training and development
- Attend Embassy learning events and Away Days
- Engage in performance appraisal and feedback
π― Essential Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate programme or recently graduated (IR, Economics, Administration, Intβl Business, etc.)
- Masters students are not eligible
- Excellent English & Spanish (written and spoken)
- Strong organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Willingness to learn about Peruvian politics & democratic institutions
Desirable
- Networking skills
- Knowledge of Co-Pilot

- Type: Fixed term (12 months)
- Start Date: 3 November 2025
- End Date: 3 November 2026
- Working Hours: 30 per week (flexible, with up to 2 days remote)
- Stipend: PEN 1197.40/month
