Purpose of the Young Professionals Programme

The Young Professionals Programme (YPP) is designed to give students and recent graduates a structured 4–6 month opportunity to work alongside experienced UNICEF staff. Participants will engage in meaningful projects that combine digital advocacy, volunteer engagement, and communications for development, while learning the inner workings of a UN agency.

It’s an invaluable platform for aspiring professionals to gain insight into the humanitarian and development sectors, while actively contributing to initiatives that impact children’s lives.


Duties and Responsibilities

As part of the UNICEF Thailand team, Young Professionals will:

  • Support public advocacy campaigns through brainstorming, outreach, and youth engagement.
  • Contribute to the creation of digital content across UNICEF platforms (social media, website, storytelling).
  • Assist in community management for the I Am UNICEF volunteer platform.
  • Facilitate volunteer and youth engagement events, including administrative and coordination tasks.
  • Support knowledge management and learning sessions, ensuring documentation and archiving.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Young Professionals Programme, applicants should be:

  • A current university student (third-year or higher) OR a recent graduate in a relevant field (communications, social sciences, international relations, digital media, etc.).
  • Interested in children’s rights, humanitarian, or development work.
  • Strong communicators with good writing skills in Thai and English.
  • Familiar with digital tools and social media platforms.
  • Willing to learn and collaborate in a multicultural environment.
