Background and Context of the Internship

EY’s Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) team supports businesses and governments in responding to societal, environmental, and economic challenges. From ESG strategy and climate risk to digital sustainability solutions, the team works with organizations to strengthen accountability, improve reporting, and drive sustainable transformation.
As a CCaSS Intern, you will be aligned with one of the service areas—Climate Advisory, Sustainability Advisory, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Advisory, or ESG Digital—while gaining exposure across diverse industries and clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a CCaSS Intern, you will:

  • Assist in delivering climate change and sustainability services with an emphasis on reporting, advisory, and assurance.
  • Support clients in identifying, measuring, and managing risks and opportunities related to sustainability and climate change.
  • Conduct research and analysis on sustainability reporting frameworks, regulations, and industry practices.
  • Collaborate with EY teams and clients to develop strategies for ESG, EHS, and sustainable innovation.
  • Participate in meetings, prepare presentations, and contribute to client deliverables.

Requirements/Eligibility Criteria

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental engineering, sustainability, environmental science, policy, data science, occupational health and safety, supply chain, or related fields.
  • Strong academic record with relevant coursework.
  • Excellent research, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Adaptability, curiosity, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership experience through student organizations or extracurricular activities is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ESG frameworks (GRI, CSRD, SEC disclosure rules), carbon markets, life cycle analysis, or sustainable supply chains is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours when needed.
  • Reliable transportation; a valid driver’s license is recommended.
